Bernie Collins - Former Head of Race Strategy for Aston Martin Formula 1 Team

With over a decade’s experience at the forefront of Formula 1, Bernie Collins is an accomplished strategy engineer, most recently employed as Head of Race Strategy for the Aston Martin Formula 1 team. In 2023, Bernie joined the Sky Sports F1 broadcasting team, her race strategy expertise adding significant depth to the channel’s coverage. She also contributes to Formula 1’s official website and digital channels, providing detailed insights on race strategy and helping fans to understand the complexity of decisions made during Grands Prix.

Dharmesh Mehta

Executive Chairman

Dharmesh Mehta is an accomplished industry leader, renowned for his strong leadership and expertise in the development and commercialization of drilling, completions, and production technologies. He developed a keen understanding of the Energy Industry through his tenure of 15 years at Weatherford, including as the Chief Operating Officer. Passionate about transformative technologies, Dharmesh remains actively involved with multiple startups, offering contributions and strategic guidance to shape the future of these companies and the industry.

Jeff Jensen

Chief Technology Officer

Dr. Jeff Jensen holds a PhD from Texas A&M University and brings a rich blend of experience from tech powerhouses like Intel, Toshiba, and Siemens. Transitioning from these industry giants, he has demonstrated his strategic and technological acumen as CTO for several VC-backed startups in both heavy asset industries and consumer electronics. As CTO at Corva, Jeff is responsible for all software development and management of Corva's platform.

Subodh Saxena

Senior Vice President

Subodh Saxena is Sr. Vice President, Nabors Drilling Solutions (NDS), a position he’s held since May 2018. Saxena directs all the services businesses of Nabors and leads the automation and technology deployment efforts for NDS. He is also a member of the Nabors Enterprise Risk Management Committee. Saxena joined Nabors in 2013, as Sr. Vice President for Nabors International. In 1992, Saxena began his career as a field engineer for Schlumberger, working in different countries and product lines in engineering, technology, and strategic planning, before becoming vice president for Latin America in June 2011.

Matthias Gatzen

Executive Director

Matthias Gatzen spent years in global engineering and commercial roles before joining Baker Hughes Drilling Services in Germany in 2010 as a research and development engineer for innovative downhole technologies. He is accountable for the company’s global downhole digital business, which is built on a suite of applications that includes Drilling Automation Services, Next-generation Well Engineering Applications, and Advanced Analytics offerings. His focus is leveraging digitalization to drive efficiency, predictability, and safety in the field. Gatzen holds a PhD in Engineering from the Leibniz Universität, Hannover, Germany.

David Forbes

General Manager Global Wells

David Forbes is General Manager, Global Wells for ConocoPhillips and has 41 years industry experience, of which 36 years has been with ConocoPhillips in various drilling engineering, operations and management positions in the UK, Egypt, Dubai, China and Norway. David also worked for Schlumberger in their Integrated Project Management Group in the UK, Russia and Caspian Sea. Prior to his current assignment, David was the Global Deepwater Drilling Manager based in Houston, responsible for ConocoPhillips deepwater drilling operations in the Gulf of Mexico and West Africa. In 2016, David moved to his current position managing a team of technical experts supporting ConocoPhillips global drilling, completion, well intervention and well integrity activities. David holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in mechanical engineering from Liverpool University.

Chief Executive Officer

Moji is a carbon-negative entrepreneur and a technology futurist. Using bioengineered microbes that enable carbon-negative solutions across oil and gas, chemical, and mining industries, he strives to create a sustainable future where technology, humans, and nature thrive. As an operations expert who’s well-versed in bringing bold ideas to market, Moji has brought actionable insights and keen product instincts to Cemvita since 2017. Alongside his sister, Dr. Tara Karimi, Moji serves a team of passionate scientists and engineers on a mission to reimagine heavy industries for a net-zero economy.

The theme for this year’s event is “Illuminating Energy’s Path Forward,” focusing on the digitalization and innovation of the energy industry.

The event will be held on November 2, 2023 at Corva HQ at 1334 Brittmoore Road, Houston Texas 77043.

Parking is available in front of the building as well as in the parking lot to the left of the building once you turn in off of Brittmoore Road. All parking is free and first come, first served.
